A Survey of Users’ Satisfaction with Library Resources and Services at Mountain Top University Library, Nigeria.

📖
Published in: Library Philosophy and Practice

Abstract & Summary

The purpose of this survey was to determine how satisfied library users were with the current
information resources, facilities, and services available at Mountain Top University Library in
Ogun State, Nigeria. The study aimed at identifying areas where the library's collection,
services, and facilities may be improved. The survey research design was adopted, with self
administered questionnaires as the data gathering method. A total of 300 students were chosen
at random from a student population of over 1000. Although students were not totally
unsatisfied with the library's materials, services, and facilities, the survey found that library
resources were grossly underutilized. As a result, there is a need for improvement in terms of
library’s collection, public awareness, user-library staff relations, and training facilitation,
particularly on the use of the library's e-resources.
