Dr. Nkem F. Obianagha is a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (FMLSCN) and a Fellow of the Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Research Institute of Nigeria. She specialises in Chemical Pathology and Hematology & Blood Group Serology. She obtained her AIMLS in Chemical Pathology from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), FIMLS in Hematology and Blood Group Serology from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), MSc in Chemical Pathology, and PhD in Chemical Pathology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
She has professional experience in medical laboratory practice, with expertise in the analysis and interpretation of biological specimens for disease investigation and diagnosis. Her research interests include Chemical Pathology, clinical biochemistry, diabetes mellitus, oxidative stress, antioxidant therapy, lipid metabolism, micronutrient status, haematological parameters, toxicology, occupational health, medicinal plants, and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Obianagha has contributed to research on diabetes, medicinal plant-based antioxidant and antidiabetic therapies, occupational lead exposure, reproductive health, haematological alterations, and biochemical responses to stress and disease. She has published in national and international journals and continues to contribute to research, healthcare, and academic development in Medical Laboratory Science. Her multidisciplinary interests also extend to psychotherapy, counselling, and mental and behavioural health research, reflecting her commitment to holistic approaches to health and wellbeing.
