Biography

Professor Oladele John Akinyomi is a distinguished Professor of Accounting and Finance at Mountain Top University, Nigeria, where he previously served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Accounting from Delta State University, an M.Sc. in Accounting from Abia State University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Babcock University. He has built an accomplished academic career spanning teaching, research, academic administration, professional practice, and institutional quality assurance.

Professor Akinyomi’s teaching and scholarly expertise is principally in Management Accounting and Financial Management, with extensive teaching experience in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Strategic Financial Management, Corporate Governance and Accounting Ethics, Accounting Applications, and Research Methods. His academic career has also included significant administrative responsibilities, including Head of Department, Dean, Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee, Director of Quality Assurance, and other leadership positions within the university system.

As a researcher, Professor Akinyomi has published extensively in accounting, finance, auditing, corporate governance, and related areas. His scholarly work has appeared in academic journals and conference proceedings, and he has contributed to the development of knowledge through research supervision, academic conferences, peer review, and external examination. He has served as a reviewer for several national and international journals and has participated in numerous academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
