About
I am a conscientious scholar and researcher with over 18 years of experience teaching English Language and Literature-in-English courses at the undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. I have supervised 24 Bachelor of Arts (BA) theses, 2 Master of Arts (MA) theses, and published numerous articles in peer-reviewed international and local journals. I have also published a creative work, a collection of short stories titled My Encounter with a Prostitute and Other Stories (2025). My research aims to establish the inevitable interface between literature and other disciplines, thereby freeing the discipline from the restrictive confines of academic enclosure and situating it within the flourishing ambience of human experience. I am also a columnist, with over 500 essays in national newspapers and magazines, where I address Nigeria’s multi-layered challenges, ranging from social justice, poverty, class dichotomy, and bad governance.
