Mrs. DEBORAH NGOZI EGUNLETI

Mrs. Egunleti  Deborah Ngozi is the Principal Counsellor at Mountain Top University, Ibafo, Ogun State, with a decade of dedicated service in student counselling and development.

Academic Background:

She holds B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling from Tai Solarin University of Education now (Tai Solarin Federal University of Education)  and a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Adolescent and Youth Counselling from the University of Ibadan. Her academic focus equips her with deep insight into the developmental, psychological and career needs of young people in transition.

Professional Experience:

With 10 years of professional experience at Mountain Top University, Mrs Egunleti Deborah has been at the forefront of student support services. His responsibilities include providing individual and group counselling, managing at-risk and high-achieving students, conducting 

Psychological assessment, facilitating orientation and lifeskills training for  students, and organizing and Mental Health Awareness programmes.

She has strong advocate for proactive counselling, having introduced a structured referral system that connects Course Advisers, Faculty Officers, Hostel Porters and the Medical Centre to the Counselling Unit. Her counselling  ensure confidentiality and accessibility for all students.

 As a faith-based counsellor,  she integrates professional ethics with Christian values, helping students build resilience, discipline, purpose and godly character.

Professional Membership:

I am a duly registered member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON) and adheres strictly to its ethical code of confidentiality, competence and professionalism.

Her core area is adolescent and youth counselling with emphasis on 3 pillars: Academic success, Career clarity, and Emotional stability.  Her focus has been helping adolescents aged 16-25 navigate academic pressure, career confusion and emotional challenges while building godly character.
