About

Professor Ologundudu, Mojeed Muhammed was born on 22nd April, 1967 to the family of late Alhaji Sabiu Ologundudu in Shomolu-Bashna, Shomolu Local Government Area of Lagos State. He attended Islamic Model Mission School, Itire Road, Mushin for his primary education from 1973 to 1979 before proceeding to Holy Saviour’s College, Isolo for his secondary education between 1979-1984. His quest for further studies motivate him to enrolled for private studies between 1984 to 1986 through exams Success correspondent college where he sat and passed General Certificate of Education (GCE), Advanced Level in three papers at a sitting. Professor Ologundudu later proceeded to Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics in 1990. He however later obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Economics in 1997 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics in 2016 from University of Lagos, Akoka and University of Bath, UK respectively. In quest for further knowledge in his cognate discipline, Professor Ologundudu bagged another Doctorate degree in 2019 from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Business and Applied Economics.

Shortly before joining the services of Mountain Top University, Prayer City, Ogun State as a senior lecturer on December 2016, Professor Ologundudu a renowned scholar had at different times engaged and involved in teaching and research activities as a visiting lecturer to Lagos State University, School of Part Time Studies, Crawford University, Igbesa, Christopher University, Mowe. He had also worked with Caleb University, Imota as assistant lecturer and Lecturer II, between 2009 to 2012; McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo as Lecturer I for five years, between 2012 to 2016. With dint of hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence, Professor Ologundudu rose through the ranks and became a Professor of Business and Applied Economics in 1st October, 2023.

Professor Ologundudu has several years of teaching and research experience in the Nigeria University System. He teaches various courses in International Trade, Monetary Economics, Development Economics, Advanced Micro and Macro Economics, Entrepreneurial Development and Innovation, Business Policy and Strategy, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has successfully supervised many undergraduate students’ projects, Postgraduate Diploma projects, and Master’s dissertations. He has also successfully supervised two (as main & co-supervisor) PhD theses with additional two nearing completion. Apart from teaching various courses in his area of specialisation, Prof. Ologundudu has to his credit over Seventy (60) publications including articles in peer-reviewed Journals at both national and international levels, and many contributions to books. He has attended several professional Conferences, Workshops, and Seminars within and outside the country where he presented well-researched papers.

Professor Ologundudu, served as the Deputy Director of Academic Planning, Mountain Top University, between June 2017 to February 2018, Acting Director of Academic Planning from 2018 to October 2023 and substantive Director of Academic Planning from November 2023 till date. Professor Ologundudu also served the University meritoriously in many other capacities. These include Acting Head, Department of Economics (2018-2023); Member, Mountain Top University Postgraduate Board of Studies (2020 till date); Level Adviser (undergraduate and postgraduate). Prof. Ologundudu was also the Deputy Chairman, Mountain Top University Ceremony Committee; Chairman of the Steering Committee Pioneer of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts; Deputy Chairman Business Committee of Senate; Member of Research and Development Committee; Member of Special Project Monitoring Committee; Member of College Board of Studies. Among others.

Outside the University, and as part of his services to the Nation and the World at large, Prof. Ologundudu has contributed to educational development locally and internationally. He has served as External Examiner (for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes) to several universities including Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu, Christopher University, Mowe, and Caleb University, Imota. This erudite scholar has also rendered his expertise in the selection process for Professorial Chair candidates at the Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State. Professor Ologundudu belongs to many national and international professional bodies including Member, Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria; Fellow, Institute of Managerial Economics, Member of Nigeria Institute of Management; Member, Nigeria Economic Society; Member, American Econometrician Society. Professor Ologundudu is a Professor of Applied Economics, not only has received many local research awards including the D.K. Olukoya Foundation Research Award, but also has had a cognate experience in the financial sector for a period of over 15 years as commercial and mortgage bankers, both at the intermediate and managerial level before he joined the world of academics in 2009.

In the spiritual front, Professor Ologundudu is a Minister and Pastor with Redeemed Christian Church of God from 1995 till date. Was appointed as Parish Pastor of RCCG, Beautiful Gate parish, Agbado, Lagos on the 24th September, 2001; Parish Pastor RCCG, Jesus Palace Model Parish, Ketu, Lagos on the 11th June, 2005; Parish Pastor RCCG, Grace Chapel, Agiliti, Lagos on September, 2007; promoted to Area Pastor, RCCG Grace Chapel Area, August 2012; transferred to RCCG House of Mercy as Area Pastor, 29th September, 2015; promoted to Zonal Pastor RCCG Grace and Peace Zone, Magboro, Ogun State, in 26th September, 2018; finally, he promoted to National Church Growth Officer, affiliated to RCCG Lagos Province 69 since 2023 till date.

Professor Ologundudu is happily married to Mrs. Ologundudu Oluwakemi Eunice and they were blessed with four children; three males and one female.
