Academic Biography

Adekanle Sunday Adeniyi holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, obtained between 2000 and 2006, alongside a Final Diploma in Computer Science. He also holds a National Diploma (ND) in Science Laboratory Technology and an Intermediate Diploma in Computer Science. He completed his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination at Oke-Ira Grammar School, Lagos State, between 1991 and 1997, and his First School Leaving Certificate at 7th Avenue Primary School, Festac-Town, Lagos State, between 1986 and 1991. He is currently furthering his professional development through the pursuit of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, reflecting his ongoing commitment to deepening his expertise in information security.

Professional Biography

Adekanle Sunday Adeniyi is an experienced and dedicated IT professional with over 12 years of progressive expertise spanning the banking, telecommunications, and higher education sectors. He currently serves as System Engineer at Mountain Top University, Ogun State, a role he has held since May 2024, where he monitors system performance, provides technical support to staff and students, implements security measures, and conducts training on IT systems and security practices.

Prior to this, he served as Technical Support Officer at Softcom Limited (2014–2022), where he provided technical support for electronic devices and supervised service center operations, including the distribution and accountability of student tablets. Earlier in his career, he held IT Services Support Officer roles at Sterling Bank Plc (2011–2014) and Equitorial Trust Bank (2008–2011), where he maintained desktops, laptops, network infrastructure, and core banking applications within highly regulated financial environments. He also served as a Mathematics and Introductory Technology teacher at Fortuneland College (2007–2008), contributing to curriculum development.

Adeniyi's core competencies include IT security and risk management, system performance monitoring, disaster recovery and business continuity, hardware and software troubleshooting, and security compliance.
