Profile

Dr Chinwe Peace Igiri is a lecturer in the Computer Science and Mathematics department of the Mountain Top University. She is also the Deputy Director of Open Distance Learning of the same university. She earned a PhD in Software Engineering from Amity University Rajasthan, India. She was engaged as a visiting lecturer with the University during her three-year PhD program. Before Dr Chinwe left Nigeria for India for her research, she was a lecturer in the Computer Engineering Department of Port Harcourt Polytechnic, Rivers State, Nigeria. Her research interest is in emerging technologies such as soft software engineering, Artificial Intelligence, bio-inspired computation, blockchain technology, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), among others. She has obtained some professional training and certification including a six-month professional training certification on blockchain technology jointly organized by National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) India and IBM. She has published over 14 scholarly peer-reviewed journals as well as conference presentation and proceedings. She holds B.Eng. in computer science and engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology and Masters of Science in Computer Science from the University of Port Harcourt Nigeria. She is a registered engineer with COREEN, as well as a member of NSE, IEEE and ACM.
