Mr. Rotimi P. AKINWALE is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Geosciences (Geophysics Programme), Mountain Top University, Ogun State, Nigeria. His research interests and specializations are in Reservoir Geophysics, Near Surface Geophysics, and Computational Geophysics. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geophysics from the department of Applied Physics at the University of Lagos in 2009 and a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Exploration Geophysics, from the Department of Geosciences, University of Lagos. He is currently on his Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) at the Department of Geology, the University of Ibadan where he is working on Reservoir Geomechanics. His current research is broadly focused on appraising 3D seismic constrained geomechanical models in deep offshore fields in, Niger Delta. Besides Reservoir Geophysics, he has extensive near-surface geophysics experience and application of GPR, Electrical, Electromagnetic, Seismic, Gravity, and Magnetic methods in providing engineering, exploration, environmental and hydrological solutions. Rotimi is highly motivated in disseminating knowledge to students and is a co-author of scholarly articles in some of the most reputable international journals. He is happily married, and the union is blessed.
